Grease tank under the kitchen sink

A grease trap or grease trap is an apparatus for holding solids, fats and oils contained in cooking water or the like.
Regarding small communities and professional facilities (subdivision, factories, schools, restaurants, hotels, delicatessens, caterers, cured meats, etc ...) the obligation to install grease separators results from the standard departmental health regulation and the code of public health. For this, we offer a wide range of grease separators made of polyethylene, polycomposite or stainless steel, in accordance with the NF EN 1825-1 standard.
However, there are cases of use of this type of material where the topography, the spatial organization of the places or their protected nature (eg historical monuments) does not allow the establishment of a standard device, too bulky .

We therefore developed on the basis of the flow of a standard plunger sink faucet (valves up to an internal diameter of 15 mm, ie a maximum flow rate according to NF EN 1825-2 standard of 0.23 l / s ) a derogatory grease trap to meet the specific requirements of particular laying conditions, while meeting the dimensional constraints of standard NF EN 1825-2.
The nominal flow rate permissible for proper operation of the grease separation is of the order of 0.5 l / s.

Performances:
- Yield: 92%
- Fat retention capacity: 20 liters
- Sludge retention capacity: 20 liters

Physical characteristics :
- HDPE tank (maximum temperature in the tank: 60 °)
- 1 waterproof lid equipped with a seal
- 4 latches for fixing the lid
- DN40 PVC inlet, outlet and ventilation

The fat-laden water enters the grease trap. They are headed down to reach the separation zone. Fats lighter than water rise to the surface in the central part of the unit. The water released from the grease comes out after passing through the outlet dip tube. The temperature at the outlet of the separator must be less than 30 °.
The appliance will be installed perfectly level in both directions and immediately out of the drain siphon of the sink or water source to be treated. This grease tray is intended for laying on the floor or on a bench under bench.
In order to facilitate maintenance, it is strongly recommended to connect the grease trap to the wastewater network using standard dismountable connections (multi-material connections, clamping connections, etc.) rather than gluing. Any combination of connections between input and output can be realized. The unused input connection will then be connected to a ventilation, either directly or through the main drain, which is itself ventilated (supplied elbow, connecting pipe not supplied). The unused outlet pipe (lower than the inlet) must be closed with a plug (supplied).
The PEHD device is insensitive to corrosion and does not require any special maintenance.
The user or a cleaning company must intervene regularly, at least once a week, in order to control the quantity of stored fat and proceed, if necessary, to its scraping (by means of a skimmer dedicated to this use for example) or the total emptying of the tank (scraping grease then draining by the tap, available as an option, and collecting the elements decanted).
Harvested fats will be removed by solid waste.
After each total emptying, wash the appliance and immediately fill it with clear water.
