Bionut is the eco-responsible solution for domestic wastewater treatment. Bionut is a compact filter. It allows us to treat our wastewater in a totally ecological way. No need for electricity or chemicals, just hazelnut shells! These are veritable hotels for bacteria, providing them with room and board. As a result, the water leaving the compact filter is filtered and purified.
We reuse this shell, which comes from a waste product in the food industry, to be recycled as green waste and composted at the end of its life. This ecological sanitation is also economical, requiring very little maintenance.
The SIMOP range of compact filters is available for single-family homes from 4 PE and up to 200 PE for small communities.
How the compact filter BIONUT works ?
The treatment of wastewater by the BIONUT system is done in two stages:
- The pre-treatment, carried out by the raw water tank, the biological treatment, done by the compact filter made of hazelnut shells.
- After leaving the raw water tank, the pre-treated water arrives in the compact filter. The water is distributed on the whole surface of the filter. The water then percolates through the filtering mass made of hazelnut shells on which aerobic bacteria are fixed which will ensure the treatment of the water, until its exit.
