Approach channel for BIOXYMOP MAX
“Exponential” venturi channels are pressure-reducing devices intended to measure flow rates in a rectilinear open channel. When the river flow conditions (non-turbulent) are respected upstream of the venturi contraction, and dewatering ensured downstream (free flow without loading constraints), then the water blade at the upstream of the contraction (h; hydraulic load) is directly linked to the flow in transit (Q). The originality of “Venturi” channels is that they combine the advantages of classic “Venturi” channels (free passage without threshold) and can also respond to large variations in flow rates (inclined sides).
