Equipment for the environment
The very essence of SIMOP is to create equipment that preserves the environment.
SIMOP products can be used to retain human waste, treat and infiltrate water, collect rainwater for reuse…
Our Design Office innovates every day to respond to environmental issues by devising sustainable and passive solutions.
Recycling at all levels
Recycling is central to our approach to growth. Before producing, we first seek to reuse.
That’s how we came up with our Bionut compact filter made from hazelnut shells. Our filter media comes from the food industry, which used to consider shells as waste. At Simop, they become a real added value.
Most of our tanks are made of polyethylene. This material is extremely robust, corrosion-resistant and long-lasting. What’s more, it’s recyclable. In our factories, waste is always recycled. What’s more, some of our tanks are made from recycled polyethylene. At the end of their life, our PE tanks are also recyclable.
Composting and savings
After giving a second life to shells discarded by the agri-food industry, we recover our filter media at the end of its life cycle through composting.
In collaboration with the Communauté d’Agglomération du Grand Villeneuvois, FNSA and UNICOQUE, we have developed compost recipes for Bionut hazelnut shells at the end of their life cycle, in compliance with standard NFU 44-095.
We are therefore responding to the law on the fight against waste and the circular economy (AGEC) of February 10, 2020, which provides for the introduction of an EPR (Extended Producer Responsibility) channel for construction waste from January 1, 2022.
This recycling of Bionut hazelnut shells at the end of their life also reduces treatment costs when the filter media is replaced.
